Who Are The Friends?
We are an all-volunteer group who supports our three libraries in Beaufort, Lobeco, and St. Helena. Through memberships, fundraising and volunteers, we fund all the programs, classes, books, equipment and other materials that the state and county budgets don’t cover. We hope you will help us support literacy, learning, growth, skills and programs that offer every individual a better chance to reach their life dreams and goals. That’s what Friends are for. We are the Friends. And we hope you’ll join us. Click HERE for more information or JOIN NOW.
How Can You Help?
SCOTT STREET RENOVATION. It’s time to transform our dusty relic – the downtown Beaufort Branch – into the shining star of our library system. The Children’s Area, Main Area, and Meeting Room will all be transformed to create a peaceful oasis where you can learn and study in peace, a place to meet and discuss community issues and attend our many seminars, classes and programs. Our library is a vital threshold to opportunity, self–education, and recreation. Click Here to find out more.
Donate to the Friends in honor of a loved one, especially book lovers, or Make a Memorial Gift. Tributes and Memorials are gifts that show you care and help others at the same time. Click Here to find out more.
